The Armstrong Preschool has been in operation for 40 years. We are a nonprofit parent participation and board run preschool. We are a licensed facility and offer classes for 3 – 5 year old children. Our teachers are certified Early Childhood Educators (ECE) and Early Childhood Educator Assistants (ECEA).
We offer a play-based and emergent curriculum and strive to meet the individual and group needs through observation, positive interactions and play-based activities that are based on the children’s interests, needs and projected developmental milestones. We strive to support the children’s social and emotional development first and foremost, as those skills are the foundation for their life long learning.
We are welcoming new families to our 2019/20 school year.
Registration night (at the preschool):
Current families: April 9th at 5pm.
NEW families: April 10th at 5pm.
Registration forms MUST be filled out in full and are available on the bottom of our classes page to print and fill out . Please read the parent handbook on our website before you come to register.
Registration confirmation will be finalized after class size, group dynamic and children’s individual needs have been considered in order to meet all of the children’s needs. Some movement may be necessary in order to accommodate individual children’s needs. We will keep this as minimal as possible.
If you have any questions, feel free to contact us through the contact us tab above or give us a call. We are looking forward to another great year, with you and your children, at the Armstrong Preschool.
We provide children with the opportunity to participate in a holistic, inclusive play-based program that fosters their individual social/emotional growth, fine/gross motor skills and cognitive development.
We provide the opportunity for families to share in their children’s preschool experience and rely on their support and knowledge in the day-to-day running of the preschool.
